Affiliate Disclosure
How Cryptom8 works with commercial partners, and what that means for you as a reader.
Last updated: May 8, 2026
Cryptom8 is supported in part by affiliate partnerships and display advertising. This page explains exactly how those arrangements work, so you can read our coverage with full information.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a tracked URL that identifies us as the source of a referral. When you click an affiliate link on our site and subsequently take a qualifying action — typically opening an account or making a purchase — the partner pays us a commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or visit the partner directly.
Our current affiliate partnerships
- Kraken — A US-based regulated cryptocurrency exchange. We may earn a commission when you open an account through our links and complete certain qualifying actions. See our about page for more on why we recommend Kraken specifically.
- Amazon (via the Amazon Associates Program) — As an Amazon Associate, Cryptom8 earns from qualifying purchases. Links to products on Amazon throughout our site, particularly in our crypto gear section, are affiliate links.
- GreenGeeks — Our web hosting provider. We may earn a commission when readers sign up for hosting through our links. We use GreenGeeks for Cryptom8 itself.
How affiliate relationships do (and do not) influence our coverage
We have a simple rule: editorial coverage is never part of an affiliate agreement.
This means:
- We do not write favorable coverage of our affiliate partners in exchange for higher commission rates.
- We do not omit critical reporting on partners when something newsworthy happens.
- We do not let partners review our coverage of them before publication.
- We do not allow our commercial team to influence editorial assignments.
We do choose which products and services to feature based on whether we genuinely believe they are useful to our readers. A commercial relationship is a necessary but not sufficient condition for inclusion in our recommendations. We have declined affiliate offers from companies we did not feel comfortable recommending.
Display advertising
Cryptom8 shows display advertisements served through Google AdSense. Ad placement is automated. We do not select individual advertisers and we have no editorial relationship with the companies whose ads appear on our pages. AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads — see our privacy policy for details.
Sponsored content
From time to time we publish sponsored content — typically newsletter sponsorships or sponsored placements within specific articles. All sponsored content is clearly labeled as such, with the sponsor identified. Sponsored content does not influence our editorial coverage of the sponsor or its competitors.
Disclosure marking
Wherever an affiliate link appears in our content, we mark it in one or more of the following ways:
- An inline disclosure note adjacent to the link ("Affiliate link", "Sponsored", "Cryptom8 may earn a commission", or similar).
- The HTML attribute
rel="sponsored"on the link, in line with Google's guidance for marking commercial relationships. - A site-wide disclosure banner on relevant pages.
What to do if you have concerns
If you believe a piece of our content has crossed the line between editorial and commercial — or if any of our disclosure markings are unclear — please email editorial@cryptom8.com. We take this seriously and will address legitimate concerns promptly.
Regulatory framework
This disclosure is published in line with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, the United Kingdom's Competition and Markets Authority guidance on online endorsements, and equivalent rules in the European Union and other jurisdictions.
Changes to this disclosure
We may update this page from time to time as our partnerships change. Material changes will be noted at the top with a revised "Last updated" date.
