Cryptom8 is an independent publication covering cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, decentralized finance, and the regulation that surrounds them. We publish news, long-form analysis, and practical guides for a global readership that ranges from first-time buyers to professionals working full-time in the industry.

Our editorial mission

Crypto coverage is too often shaped by the incentives of the people doing the covering. Outlets sell attention. Influencers sell tokens. Exchanges sell themselves. The reader, somewhere down the line, ends up with the bill.

We try to do something different. We write what we actually believe, in language anyone can follow, with the same level of skepticism we would apply to any other emerging financial technology. We do not own the assets we cover (beyond small disclosed positions for testing and reporting purposes), we do not accept paid editorial placement, and we mark every commercial relationship clearly.

How we make money

Cryptom8 is supported by three revenue streams, all of which are disclosed:

• Affiliate partnerships with regulated exchanges and product retailers. When a reader opens an account or makes a purchase through one of our links, we may earn a referral commission. These relationships do not influence our editorial coverage of the partners involved.
• Display advertising served by Google AdSense. Ad placement is automated and not editorially curated.
• Newsletter sponsorships from companies whose products we believe are useful to our audience. Sponsored content is always labeled.

What we do not do

• We do not promote specific tokens for purchase.
• We do not publish "guaranteed return" content of any kind.
